to Director, Registrar, CC to Dean of Academics and Dean of Student Affairs.

Dear Madam/Sir,

Progressive Students Forum (PSF) is writing to you to initiate a channel of communication regarding the re-opening of the campus mentioned in the circular dated 30th November. It has been more than a month since the last notification was released and there has been no formal communication regarding the same since then.

Concerning the notification dated 30th November, we had circulated a Google form among the student community to understand their concerns and suggestions regarding the re-opening of the campus, the main points of which are as follows :

1. The first-year Master’s students across all campuses request for re-opening the campus for them, as the back-to-back online classes for long hours are becoming extremely strenuous for them to attend.

2. The Bachelor’s of Social Sciences students in the 4th Semester also demand re-opening the campus for them as the priority has been given to the 6th Sem students.

3. The M.Phil students have not been considered at all in the notification and they demand their consideration for the re-opening process.

4. The circular mentions students to be double vaccinated 14 days before attending offline classes, which is a potential hindrance for students. In view of this, students urge the administration to hold a vaccination drive at the campuses.

5. Students have health concerns and demand coverage through comprehensive medical insurance across the campuses.

6. Students attending offline classes demand proper accommodation at the institute hostels.

7. Access to the library should be given to all the students.

8. Relaxation in both the amount of fees and to the deadline for fee payment. Students should have an option to pay the fees in installment considering the pandemic situation.

We demand the redressal of these student concerns from the administration as soon as possible and communication regarding the same.
Thanking you,

Fathima Sulthana
General Secretary
